DISCOVER YOUR ITEM'S VALUE on EBAY!
An eBay Seller can list an item for any amount that they want. But that doesn't determine value because most of the over priced items never sell. What you need to know is the price that the item(s) actually sold for.
Below are the steps to determine what your item actually sold for, and therefore the current value (last 90 days) on eBay:
How to Find the Actual Selling Price of an Item on eBay
1. Go to the eBay Homepage
2. On the far right, next to the blue Search button, select: “Advanced”
3. In the box labeled “Enter Keywords or Item Number” type the name of your product and any descriptors such as model, size, color, etc.
4. Scroll down to the “Search Including” section and select the checkbox: “Sold items”
(it will automatically select Completed items)
5. Just above, select the Blue button: “Search”
6. The search results will now be listed
7. Go to the sort box at top far right that has the up and down arrows.
Select: “Price + Shipping: highest first”
The search results will now display the highest to lowest prices that were sold in the last 90 days for that specific item. Now compare the first 10 listing prices of the search results and you will have a good understanding of the value of your item on eBay.
Note 1: Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Sometimes the search results may show an item with a much lower price than the others. But on inspection it is because it is not for the item, but for the case that fits the item, etc.
Note 2: A price with a line through it means the seller listed it as a higher “Buy it Now" price, but accepted a lower offer. The price displayed with the strike through line, is the price it sold for.
